- Existing customers of a partner where the perk is new-customer only
How to apply
- 1
Open a Mercury business account at mercury.com and complete verification.
- 2
Log in and open the Perks page (or a bundle) to browse available offers.
- 3
Follow the 'How to redeem' steps on each perk page; some partners approve applications before applying credits.
Gotchas
- Each partner sets its own eligibility; several perks are for funded or new-customer startups only.
- The public perks page is several years old in places and listed amounts may lag what the dashboard shows.
- Mercury is only available to US-incorporated businesses, though founders can be based anywhere.
- Perk credits are issued by the partner, not Mercury, so disputes and expiry follow the partner's terms.
About the Mercury program
Mercury Perks is a catalogue of partner offers available to qualified Mercury business banking customers. Mercury's perks page lists dozens of partners across accounting, advertising, developer tools, hosting, HR, productivity and incorporation. Examples on Mercury's own perk pages include $5,000 in AWS credits, $10,000 in GitHub credits (funded startups only), 6 months of Notion free with AI, $300 in Supabase credits, 50% off Clerk, 6 months of Linear free, up to $5,000 in Azure credits via Microsoft for Startups, and 20% off Carta and Stripe Atlas.
Mercury also packages offers into bundles such as 'Startup Essentials' (Xero, FreshBooks, Stripe Atlas, Carta and similar) for companies that are just setting up. Each perk page carries the same rule: the offer is available exclusively to qualified Mercury customers and partner terms and eligibility apply. Some partners add their own gates, for instance GitHub requires outside equity funding up to Series B, and Journey requires under $5M raised and incorporation within the last 3 years.
To use the perks, open a Mercury account, log in and visit the Perks page in your dashboard, where each offer has a 'How to redeem' section. Mercury is a US business account (it is not a bank; banking services are provided by partner banks) and is generally limited to US-incorporated companies, including those founded from abroad.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a Mercury startup credit?
No. Mercury's startup value is its partner perks catalogue (AWS, GitHub, Notion, Supabase, Microsoft for Startups and others) available to qualified Mercury customers from the dashboard.
Do I need venture funding to use the perks?
Not for most, but some partners require it: GitHub's $10,000 credit is limited to startups that have raised outside equity (up to Series B), and Microsoft for Startups offers more to venture-backed companies.
