Convex
Convex for Startups
Up to 1 year of Convex Professional free (no seat fees) plus 30% off usage fees for early-stage startups under $3M raised.
Worth
1 year of Convex Professional free + 30% off usage fees (up to $30k)
The $30k figure is the cap tied to the 30% usage discount; Convex's two pages word it differently (fees vs savings), so it is not recorded as usd_max.

About the Convex program
Convex for Startups lets early-stage teams apply for up to 1 year free of Convex Professional. The program page states: "Eligible teams can get up to 1 year free of Convex Professional, including no seat fees and 30% off usage-based fees up to $30k." The application page phrases it as "up to 1 year free, including savings on usage-based fees up to $30k".
Who qualifies: startups at Series A or earlier with fewer than 20 employees, less than 3 years old, pre-seed to Series A companies that have raised less than $3 million, with a live functioning website or product in the MVP stage, and a valid company profile on LinkedIn, Crunchbase, PitchBook or another recognized deal-flow platform (include links to traction or funding announcements).
Before applying you must be on at least the Convex Starter plan with a card on file (set up in billing settings); you then sign in with Convex on the apply page and select an eligible team. Every application is reviewed by a human on a rolling basis. Y Combinator companies are told to apply for the Convex YC deal through YC's deals directory instead. Accelerators, VCs and startup hubs can join the partner network to grant their portfolio complimentary access to Convex plus additional perks.
Convex also runs a separate Open Source program; funded teams are directed to the Startups program and each project qualifies for one program. The 2024 launch terms (six months of no seat fees, 30% off usage for up to two years) have been superseded.
