Gotchas
- There's no direct route. You need a code from a selected partner or from YC.
- Former paid ClickHouse Cloud customers can't use the general offer.
- Credits expire: after 12 months on the partner offer, 24 months on the YC offer.
- The general offer's eligibility summary limits it to startups less than three years old.
About the ClickHouse program
ClickHouse's startup offer gives $5,000 in ClickHouse Cloud credits, valid for 12 months, to startups in the programs of selected partners. It includes ClickHouse Basic Support, a joint blog post with promotion on ClickHouse channels, and speaking opportunities at community events. Partner logos on the page include Antler, Bessemer, Blackbird, Dots, Google for Startups, Lightspeed, Merantix, Station F, TechLeap and Techstars. The form has a dropdown of eligible partners.
To qualify, you must be in a selected partner's program and have a valid verification code from that accelerator, incubator or VC. You must not have raised a Series D or later round, and you must never have been a paid ClickHouse Cloud customer. The page's summary also says eligible startups are less than three years old.
Y Combinator companies have a separate page with a larger offer: $10,000 in credits valid for 24 months. It also includes Basic Support, a one-hour expert training session and the same promotion and speaking opportunities. You need to be in the current YC program with a valid YC secret code, have no Series D or later round, and not be a current ClickHouse Cloud customer. That page is headed 'Current & Alumni', but its checklist only mentions the current program. On either path you first sign up for a ClickHouse Cloud trial and include your Organization ID in the application. Separately, every new Cloud trial comes with $300 in credits over 30 days.
