How we verify every perk

Startup perk directories disagree because they copy each other. We take every number from the company's own program page, label how sure we are, and date it.

1. Official sources only

A source counts only if it's published by the company running the program: its website, docs, help center, terms or an official PDF. Every perk page links to the exact page we read.

We never take numbers from other perk directories, blogs, forums or social posts. They can point us to a program, but the amount has to be confirmed on the official page.

2. What each label means

  • VerifiedThe official page states every number we show.
  • Partially verifiedThe program is confirmed, but some details aren't published. Unknown amounts are marked “not stated”, never guessed.
  • DiscontinuedThe company says the program ended. We keep the page so searches get the real answer, and point to alternatives.
  • UnverifiedWe couldn't confirm it on an official page. These stay hidden until we can.

3. The last-verified date

Each perk shows the date we last re-read its official page and confirmed the details. If nothing changed, the date still moves forward, so you can tell a fresh listing from a stale one at a glance.

4. Weekly re-checks, human approval

Every Monday an automated check re-reads each program's official page and looks for new startup programs. Anything that changed becomes a proposal: what changed, the official wording and the link. A person reviews each one, and nothing is published until it's approved.

5. What we won't do

  • Copy amounts from aggregator sites.
  • Guess a number the official page doesn't state.
  • Add up “up to” ceilings into headline totals.
  • Work around sites that block automated checks. Those programs wait for a manual review.

Frequently asked questions

Why do other sites show different amounts for the same program?

Aggregators often copy each other, keep numbers from expired promotions, or mix partner-only tiers with the public offer. We only record what the company's own page states today, and we say so when a number isn't published.

What does “partially verified” mean?

The program is confirmed on the official site, but some details, usually the exact amount, aren't published there. We show what is confirmed and leave the rest marked as not stated instead of guessing.

How often is a perk re-checked?

Every program page is re-read once a week. If nothing changed, the last-verified date moves forward. If something changed, the update waits for a person to approve it.

Why can't I find a program I know exists?

If we can't confirm a program on its official page, because the page is gone or blocks automated checks, we keep it hidden until it can be verified. You can email us a link to the official page.

Found something out of date?

Send us the perk and a link to the official page. We'll re-check it and update the listing once it's confirmed.
