Requirements

  • Founded less than 5 years ago
  • Received less than $50M in funding

Not eligible

  • Companies founded 5 or more years ago
  • Companies with $50M or more in funding

How to apply

  1. 1

Check the two criteria: founded less than 5 years ago and less than $50M raised.

  2. 2

If you're pre-launch or have few users, start on the free Developer tier. Statsig suggests applying once you need more event volume and recommends the program for 25K+ MAU.

  3. 3

Submit the Startup Program application form on statsig.com/startups.

  4. 4

Once approved, use Enterprise features and the 1B events for 12 months, then choose the Enterprise, Pro or free tier.

Gotchas

  • Statsig positions the program for fast-scaling companies (25K+ MAU). Very early teams are pointed to the free Developer tier first.
  • The allowance is stated as 1B events. The page doesn't say what happens if you go over it.
  • Support is Pro-tier (Slack and email, next business day), not Enterprise-level support.
  • After 12 months you choose a tier (Enterprise, Pro or free). The free Enterprise access doesn't continue.

About the Statsig program

The Statsig Startup Program gives qualifying startups all features in the Statsig Enterprise tier for 12 months, plus 1 billion events. In Statsig's words, that means free feature flags, product analytics and experimentation for a year. Statsig values the package at over $50,000, and the page headline calls it $50k in credits and 1B events. Support is the same as Statsig's Pro tier: Slack and email, with responses by the next business day.

There are two criteria: the company was founded less than 5 years ago and has received less than $50 million in funding. Statsig says the program is designed for venture-backed companies with a significant number of users (over 25K MAU) that are scaling fast and need extra event volume. It suggests very early startups begin on the free Developer tier and apply when they need more events.

At the end of the year you can move to the Enterprise, Pro or free tier. On the current pricing page, the free Developer tier includes 2M events a month. Pro is $150/month with 5M events included, then $0.05 per 1K events.

Research notes

Read statsig.com/startups (offer and FAQ) and statsig.com/pricing on 2026-11-04. The $50K figure is Statsig's own valuation of the package. Neither page says anything about ownership.
