Amplitude Startup Program

The Amplitude Startup Program (also called the Startup Scholarship) gives qualifying companies one year of the Growth plan at no cost, with up to 100 million events per month (about 200,000 monthly tracked users) and the full Growth feature set (product analytics, session replay, MCP and agents, unlimited teammates, no credit card). Amplitude's startups page puts the value at $60,000 and states year two is 40% off. To qualify your company must have raised under $10M and have fewer than 20 employees; both criteria must be met.

Applying is in-product: sign up for a free Amplitude account, then apply for the Startup Plan from the banner in your workspace. Amplitude grants access automatically if you are eligible and emails you either way. Existing paying customers follow a different path: annual Plus or Growth customers email scholarship@amplitude.com, while monthly Plus customers must cancel and wait for the downgrade to Free before applying. Sixty days before the year ends Amplitude sends a usage-based quote for year two; alumni keep a standing startup discount on Plus and Growth annual plans, or you can drop to the free 2M-events/month plan and keep your data and dashboards. Amplitude's billing FAQ says it cannot extend the Startups plan past one year, while the startups page invites founders still building toward PMF to email scholarship@amplitude.com about extensions or adjusted terms.

Amplitude credits are also distributed through fintech perks platforms: Ramp's rewards page lists up to $40,000 in Amplitude credits for Ramp customers. A separate 'Tech for Black Founders' track offers the Growth plan free to US-headquartered, Black-led startups with under $30M raised and under 150 employees. Amplitude acquired the June analytics team in 2025, and June's product shut down, so former June users are pointed here.
