Intercom Early Stage Program

Intercom's Early Stage program is a three-year discount ladder for very small, new-to-Intercom startups: 93% off in year one, 50% off in year two and 25% off in year three. Intercom's pricing page lists the year-one package at $65 per month (a 93% discount off a $903 list price) and includes 6 full seats, 6 Copilot seats with unlimited usage and 20 Lite seats, plus free Fin AI Agent usage that shrinks each year (300 Fin outcomes and 15 Fin qualifications per month in year one, 150 outcomes in year two, 75 in year three).

Eligibility is strict: you must have raised up to $10M in total funding, have fewer than 15 employees, and not currently be an Intercom customer (an active subscription or annual plan disqualifies you). The program is a one-time opportunity per startup, and the year-two and year-three discounts are reserved for companies that stay on the program.

The discount applies to the plan and most usage-based channels, but Fin outcomes beyond the free allowance, SMS, outbound WhatsApp and phone calls are charged at list price. Startups that want to use Fin with another helpdesk (Salesforce, HubSpot, Freshworks and similar) are not eligible. Intercom's help article notes that terms differ slightly by enrolment date (before June 29, 2026 vs from October 8, 2026), so the live article is the source of truth for your cohort.

Extra seats are discounted at the same rate as the program year, but the 6 included seats cannot be reduced. Operator credit overages above 2,000 credits per month are also charged at list price. Members also get the Early Stage Academy and an 'AI Startup Pack' that Intercom values at over $500k in partner discounts (Linear, Attio, Notion, Stripe, Mercury, Brex and others). Year-one pricing is $65/month vs a $451.50/month list-equivalent in year two and $677.25/month in year three.
