Gotchas

  • Only for startups backed by a Vercel Startups Partner; there is no direct path for unaffiliated or bootstrapped teams.
  • The contract applies to one team and cannot be transferred to another team once signed.
  • Flex Commit allows at most 50% of the amount on AI Gateway; the excess is billed at standard rates.
  • Unused amounts do not roll over at the one-year anniversary; if you use it up early you move to standard list pricing.
  • The amount varies by partner (up to $30,000); legacy startups accepted before August 6, 2026 follow their original acceptance email.
  • Vercel can revoke credits at its discretion, including for abuse violations.

About the Vercel program

Vercel for Startups is Vercel's program for startups backed by its Startup Partners. The program page (vercel.com/startups) says eligible teams get up to $30,000 in Flexible Commitment Amount, Enterprise-tier access and startup-focused support to build and scale on Vercel.

Terms depend on acceptance date. For startups accepted on or after August 6, 2026 ("Flex Commit"), Vercel offers an enterprise-grade contract with a Flexible Commitment Amount of up to $30,000 usable across seats, data transfer, compute, AI Gateway, v0 and more. The exact amount depends on the arrangement between Vercel and your Startup Partner. The contract runs for up to one calendar year; unused amounts do not roll over, and when the year ends or the amount is used up your account moves to Vercel's standard Terms and list pricing. Startups accepted earlier are on legacy rules: a grant split into equal monthly allowances over 12 months, not covering v0 or AI Gateway.

Eligibility per Vercel's FAQ: be affiliated with an approved Startups Partner (typically an accelerator or VC), have raised Series A or less and apply within 12 months of your most recent funding round, and provide proof of partnership such as a screenshot of the partner's dashboard or perks hub. A payment method is required. Applications are made at vercel.com/startups/credits, and Vercel replies within 5-7 days.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Vercel for Startups give?

Up to $30,000 in Flexible Commitment Amount plus Enterprise-tier access for up to a year. Vercel says the exact amount depends on the arrangement between Vercel and your Startup Partner.

Can I apply without a VC or accelerator?

No. Vercel calls the program an exclusive offer to companies backed by its Startup Partners. If your partner is not listed, ask them to submit a partner request on vercel.com/startups/partners.

Does the commitment cover v0 and AI Gateway?
