About the Oyster program
Oyster is an employer of record (EOR): it legally employs and pays your full-time team members in countries where you have no entity. Its startup discount (oysterhr.com/startups) saves up to $1,200 per team member on EOR subscription fees, valid for 12 months from the date of hire, with no minimum number of hires. Oyster's EOR list price is $699 per employee per month.
Startups qualify if they have raised pre-seed, seed or Series A funding, or are bootstrapped with under 50 employees. You request the discount when you sign up or on a demo call.
The discount applies to EOR (compliant contracts, local payroll, benefits administration, tax compliance and HR support for full-time employees in 120+ countries). Oyster requires a refundable deposit for each EOR team member, and benefits packages, visa sponsorship and People Partner Services are priced as add-ons. Nonprofits and B Corps have a separate discount program (Oyster for Impact).
