LangSmith for Startups

LangSmith for Startups has two tiers. The Scale tier, for first-time customers at Series A (up to $50M in funding) or earlier backed by a LangChain premier VC partner, provides $10K in LangSmith credits available for one year, plus VIP event invites with LangChain leadership, office hours and cohort sessions, a private Slack channel with other Scale founders, and a featured startup spotlight to LangChain's 1M+ audience. LangChain says eligible credits arrive within a few days of applying, and Y Combinator companies get two years to use them.

The Build tier targets early-stage, VC-backed startups that are first-time customers with less than $10M in funding and at least $25K raised in seed funding; it offers discounted seat pricing. If your VC or accelerator is not a LangChain partner you may still be eligible for Build, and LangChain notes additional eligibility criteria may apply.

The process is three phases: check your tier and create a LangSmith account with your startup domain email, apply for Build or Scale; LangChain checks the selection criteria and emails a confirmation with benefits and activation instructions (or a notice that you did not qualify); then activate via the email. An older LangChain support article describing a 'Startup plan' with 50% off seats and 30,000 free traces per month does not match the current Build/Scale structure and is likely superseded.
